I asked my almost 5 yr old if she could imitate 4/4 time by clapping or tapping.
She couldn’t do it. Wavered all over the place.
I asked her to try 3/4. Same thing happened.
Then I spoke it 1,2,3,4, 1,2,3,4, 1,2,3,4 she tried but had exaggerated uneven gaps.
Then I spoke it 1,2,3, 1,2,3, 1,2,3, and she could speak it back it reliably in time.
Either 3 is simpler on the brain or it was just a random experience or chicks love a waltz.
