Fred, a songwriter booked by the Fab Acts Talent agency, played to audience sizes between 50 – 80. He was philosophical about the work when he did well or when he was thrown curve balls and in interviews sometimes said everyone is an actor and he was playing the part of singer songwriter even the audience played the part of an audience. Fellow Fab touring artist Darius also played to same size crowds and found Fred’s perspective meaningless even out of touch with reality. In the dressing room before every Darius performance they lit a scented candle and wore special socks and a special shirt and turned around 3 times before touching their magic guitar case and then they were ready to take the stage. Whenever things went well they felt that all their superstitions were paying off and whenever things didn’t they concluded to add more elements to the pre-show ritual.
