During a student presentation on the White Album I was surprised by which 3 songs they focused on; Glass Onion, Don’t Pass Me By and Revolution #9. Sort of fascinating since the Beatles catalogue permeated the house I grew up in from my older brother record collections. Interesting what someone gravitates towards, who comes to it already an adult. If it was my choice it would have been Savoy Truffle because the lyric is just the inside of a box of chocolates, I Will because McCartney is singing the bass line instead of playing the bass guitar and Revolution because of the ambiguous admission “you can count me out…in”
