My current guilty pleasure are i) border patrol videos, ii) playing the thing in G, iii) avoiding prep time for my next class, iv) Sam Kinison memes. Not sure how the border busting videos entered my life but they amaze me. i) Guy gets busted carrying 150 grams of cocaine inside his abdomen. I knew a lot of people who did a lot of drugs at different times in different ways. Many border crossing stories too, success and failure. In fact I crossed the border twice with musicians who had drugs on them and did not tell me. I was furious. Really stupid to put someone else in danger of being busted. ii) Playing the thing in G is easy but adding my right hand is not. At least the types of gymnastics I am waiting for my right hand to attempt are not. So until then, it’s auto pilot waiting for 10,000 hours to make my left hand reach a state of supreme automatica. iii) Avoiding prep time is risky. Showing up with nothing to be uncertain about is better. iv) I remember when he was fist on the scene, it’s the sounds of him I like most, the giggle, the imitations but of course it’s the scream.
