I watched The Third Man. Over the years I have seen it twice before but this time I realized that crazy amazing signature song is the only score used. That’s something! One song used for a whole movie over and over in different snippets so it can be mysterious or playful or enigmatic because those sections exist within the body of the song. Somebody somewhere please hire me to teach a class on film music please.
