I can’t stand the sound of this cover – so unconnected to Neil Young’s version, so sterile and safe, the way of commercial song. Sometimes I try my hand. Some of my students, the ones with perfect modern pop voices I invite them to experiment with me. We add sugar or monosodium glutamate, yellow #33 and red #56. Proceed with caution.
