I never saw Ginkgo trees growing up nor heard of them. Didn’t notice until 15 years ago around High Park when Daeren pointed them out extolling their virtues medicinally. Love the look of the crazy Ginkgo leaf, like nothing nowhere. Someone told me they are prehistoric, I don’t know what that means but I added it to the list of reasons to be in awe. Rarely see big ones until last week at Queen’s park and same day in front of Hart House (East side). Like a skyscraper. What a pattern and what a leaf. If I write a song about this tree most probably Ringo, Bingo, Lingo and Carmaig’s son will find their way into my rhyme scheme.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
