I worked with a young filmmaker mixing music for their film. They liked the music but didn’t like the mix. Wanted more treble and more treble. Made other frequencies less impactful, made the whole song weirder to the point of ridiculous. I tried to persuade them to trust my experience about how to mix a song but that just cemented for them I was not the right person to work with.
