heard an old song i never liked play today and tried to ignore it but unsurprisingly caught myself singing it. was asked in email about old songs but couldn’t see a way to get behind them like I used to. in 1980-something the old songs that my father favoured by saint saens he shared as we drove down the highway from falcon lake hoping i might like them as he did. the old song doesn’t walk with a limp or have a beard always starts like that and fools me. it’s on again right now and what i don’t like about it isn’t the melody or the lyrics, just that it’s on is what bugs me most.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
