Meeting with the Dean. Right away we are out talking each other, over and faster than each other – my kind of rest and relaxation. Last Dean I met got squirmy, raised eyebrow-ish when I spoke music and power or songwriting and justice but this guy met with me precisely for that reason. Maybe it leads to the type of work I’d like, experiential teaching and thinking. He was late so I killed time with the secretary (who probably makes the big decisions anyway). The conversation \u00a0overheated, she thought music students need more insight into studying mechanicals, publishing and management but my interests lean more towards acknowledging superpowers.
