sick and shivering, respiratory pain and phlegm. boiled garlic, ginger and cayenne. i stink but it feels soothing and healing. when i was little i ate \u00a0whole bottle of some children’s medicine we had in the medicine cabinet. they rushed me to hospital pumped my stomach. seat belts weren’t as mandatory then. I remember being so small i would stand in the back seat when my parents were driving places. i stood on top of the sink to reach the bottle of coricidin, it was like candy. i wrote \u00a0lot of songs about growing up, too many. one time i was doing it again and caught myself and wondered how could i break away from this habit. so i invented aspects that were wild and untrue. maybe that’s called magic realism. the hardest part about this respiratory condition is that when i cough it hurts my skeleton as if something is broken and can’t handle the vibration of the cough. but the tickle behind the cough makes it impossible not to cough. \u00a0wish i could make up a new part to this story too.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
