he died more than 10 years ago but i like remembering how proud he seemed when i wrote a song about him. in 2004 \u00a0touring western canada and he came to the show and before the music started, told him about the song and checked if he cared one way or the other if it was played. he was curious and open. \u00a0after the show even more animated and pleased. he had become a big fan of jonathan richmond. my stock went up a lots when revealed I opened a show for mr. roadrunner years earlier. we were deep into neil young as teenagers in the 70s. i’ll never hear “will to love” from \u00a0america stars n’ bars without feeling david in the room with me.<\/p>\n
