While riding the Bathurst bus south from Wilson, a skinny weary looking woman with black hair got on and appeared to have uncontrollable hand and arm movements I thought perhaps this was Parkinson’s. Taking her seat at the front she continued to move her hands but now I realized her left hand seemed to be fingering near her ear and chest while her right moved in a jerky horizontal way. The unshaved man who had a large box in a bundle buggy taking up too much public space plus two seats to himself just looked out the window; the older woman across talked loudly on her cellphone calling somebody stupid three times; the kids at the back of the bus just out from school, had electronics in their fingertips. Seemed I was the only one that recognized this cello part from Sad Lisa by Cat Stevens.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
