Sometimes you can listen to the sounds of everything all around you as if it is a song. Sometimes you could also hear yourself, the speaking to yourself about yourself, also like a song or any least repetitive lyrics. There is a line of thought that suggests everything people create is a manifestation of what’s already within them. When I first encountered that sort of talk the writer was addressing dictatorships, describing details about the dynamics of dictators and at the end of the piece they questioned isn’t there a dictator inside of you vying for power? That seemed true. Then they added, aren’t there revolutionary forces trying to over throw those same dictators? And again that seemed true.
