That’s sort of the soloist’s space too, this is what’s happening, deal with it. Thought my boots were my winter passport but wasn’t thinking about ice. The coolest part of falling flat on my ass from ice in High Park this evening, was the moment I realized I was in mid fall and nothing could be done about it and within that moment I had space to prepare my arms to break my fall. It would have been much worse if the space within the fall didn’t present itself. Made me think about the different relationships to temporality. Technically, that amount of time was between one to two seconds but the inner experience has a different type of second hand movement, like soloing and similar parts of that position. You have a fraction of time to consider this way or that way, but at least you have it. I love winter, snow on trees, having the right footwear, the right scarf, the right hat and mitts, the death of everything, the reset button.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Saw three black squirrels behaving like being chased or as if they were desperate and disoriented.
