I was in a class where the teacher spoke about many things none of which made sense to me though my fellow students were nodding their heads in agreement to everything he said. Either they believe displaying that body language helps hide their same-as-me confusion or else they understood the same ideas that happened to leave me in the dark. I was surprised when the teacher asked my view and so expressed my confusion about this discussion and asked specifically if they meant such and such and the teacher seemed to show displeasure with, even insinuated my question was a judgement instead of a query. That sort of shut me down the rest of the class, especially miffed when he later pointed out how radical we are to be discussing these ideas, more body language all around in agreement.
