Sometimes I intentionally get stuck in the joyful loop of Come In From The Cold by that Mitchell woman. I’m at the same time surprised the world never celebrated it like Big Yellow Taxi, but pleased it’s remains my own underexposed pleasure. For better or worse the production is pretty 80s-ish, (worse if telling the truth) but it only goes to show it’s less than 50% of the story, content triumphs production. Reading about the famines in the Ukraine, in the 20s and 30s, about so many angles of madness, anarchy and chaos. These descriptions based upon the archives, makes indisputable the core of the Bolsheviks ambitions and the parallels are everywhere from the Chinese Cultural Revolution to Jake Chansley (horn man at the Capitol Riots). People find it so much easier to blame Communism or Capitalism instead of what’s in the core of people and by extension yourself because it is all inside you, the whole gamut of human behaviour whether saint or sinner. I love the way she puts her position into song, of being done with her own innocence and at the same time having to adjust to the conditions of whoever is in power – and so with just the touch of our fingers, it would make our circuitry explode, all we ever wanted, was just to come in from the cold.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
