Lynn Miles has songs that knock me out. I played a festival once, a northern location, Yellowknife perhaps. Maybe that was the Frostbite festival? I didn’t tune into how great she is or maybe she was in a pupal stage then but she kills me now. I wrote her and told her, she wrote me back. You gotta love it when they write you back. I was playing in Winnipeg one time and Neil Young was too, being from Winnipeg it wasn’t hard to figure out what hotel he was staying at. I dropped off a letter with some music. It came back four weeks later to my home in Toronto with a stamp on it indicating it was unopened and Neil doesn’t open anything unsolicited, I’m sure he has reasons. I did the same with David Byrne once and a couple months later my music was advertised on his playlist. Thanks Dave.
