I attended Daniel Brooks play about his life, living with lung cancer and attending a Vipassana retreat. I wrote him after to get the name of the book he referenced \u2013 Fatelessness by Imre Kert\u00e9sz. Both of them in altered states of death\u2019s imminency, unlike the sleep walking and wondering what next on Netflix, for many others. I liked his play a lot, how on stage he told his story using his theatre relationship. Thought about the brilliant premise to Guy Maddin\u2019s My Winnipeg and the amazing way he will finally escape that city \u2013 by filming his way out! and Warren Zevon\u2019s stunning way to use songwriting to mitigate the inevitable,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
