The readings I\u2019ve done this year about genetics have made me think differently about what we get from our parents, like emotionally or even cognitively and being in Winnipeg and doing so much with my mother, I feel like I see the carry over between her thinking and my thinking, even though it\u2019s different content that absorbs us (or frustrates us) I see very similar dynamics, personality dynamics. I don\u2019t know if I\u2019m being objective but it is more than a little fascinating. I sort of wish it was true about musicality too but I do not think that sort of thing is innate even if Sam Larkin did insist every time we got together that he knew it was thus and even though in many Erroll Garner interviews he implies it just happened and he\u2019s a wizard and there was no practicing involved. ha!
