He felt like people were deceiving themselves when some said he was born with a special talent because after all, anyone could do it if they knew how. But he also witnessed things didn&#8217;t necessarily go down like that. No matter how hard he tried, certain people, wouldn&#8217;t get it. Surrounding this observation, he kept two thoughts at the same time. One: it was up to him to find a way to get them to see, two: no matter how creative he tried to make it clear, there were always some who wouldn&#8217;t understand it. Ever since he could remember, he identified with the left because it addressed equality of outcome and he thought that was a more noble way to be. But later, he couldn&#8217;t disagree with those who remarked equality of outcome isn&#8217;t reflected in nature. In the news one Tuesday, the CBC reported that the Order of Canada was unfair because it didn&#8217;t issue awards for excellence that reflected the population of Canada and he thought about Kurt Vonnegut&#8217;s Harrison Bergeron story, about a future society where tall people wear weights around their necks and good looking people wear masks and really smart ones have ear attachments wear sounds of trains blast every thirty seconds to interrupt their line of thought.
