There was a discussion in class about musicians playing the same material over and over vs. those who reach new musical spaces by avoiding what they already know. One person said the mind is like that, then someone else said that’s not true, you always think new things because you’re always thinking. I didn’t agree but I didn’t think I could convince anyone, which coincidentally I what I always think.
