In our class open stage a student read a poem about being a candle. It was a rap and I wish I recorded it. It was about the fact that candles, or more specifically the flame isn’t actually there while also absolutely being there. She meant insofar as it is a chemical reaction only, it isn’t otherwise there. It appears to be something we call flame but flames are impermanent as real as water. If the fire had consciousness it would never say it is not real. All of us just like the candle believe we are when in fact we are not.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
