People all around me have colds. Am I superman? Nope. But then again can superman play 5 Cs at once like me and Mozart? I showed up to writer’s group in the east end last week, it was wonderful. A pleasure to see other misfits I identified with. Like first time showing up to an open stage which would have been Fat Albert’s. I didn’t actually go inside the first time. It was summer and it happened in a basement and I could see through the open windows plus hear the music. I realized just from watching outside I didn’t have anything to fear. A student was terrified last week performing for the first time. She quit after 30 seconds yet everyone enjoyed her voice, everyone except her. She apologized for what she sounded like. No reassurance could convince her what happened wasn’t only what she thought happened.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
