I can think of examples from each where people do not experience feeling a victim. I think it useful to point out because there isn&#8217;t only one way to understand reality but the vibe of the class and by extension most of academia is bow down to a mantra everyone is hurt and needs therapy. I don&#8217;t necessarily disagree but suggesting the healing might lie outside of oneself triggers anger as if you don&#8217;t care about anyone&#8217;s feelings. How exactly does that saying work where you could catch a fish for someone and their good for that evening or you could actually try teaching them how to fish and rely on themselves.
