In the meditation business people are given a mantra and they are supposed to remember it and use it to interrupt a wandering mind, but minds wander. Why do minds wander? The answer doesn’t matter because minds do, that’s the program. The wandering sort of keeps us still in a dream even when we supposedly woke up from sleeping. A different type of dream perhaps but still a setting where fantasies are shooting off left and right.
