In the Blue Rodeo life I used to play long improvisational solos framed by the organ and drums. A zillion nights doing that with Cleave Anderson and later Mark French. How nice to see them both in the audience tonight and sometimes when I veered off into the world of free playing, a part of me wondered what’s this like for those guys?
