Often, teaching, you hope people will realize the value or power of subjects discussed but usually it doesn’t happen in front of you, if it happens at all.  Reviewing some songs that are piano and voice based for a recording session starting later today and my daughter is getting ready for school. She asks about the demos “is that you playing the piano?” No, I say it is the woman who is singing. “How does she do that?” she asks but instantly answers herself  “I know!”, darts to the piano, tries to sing and play. Like she didn’t realize before people could do both at the same time. I get to watch her a ha moment.
