for many years, it is like one is climbing up an invisible mountain and then one day it is obvious one is heading down and at some point previously, the peak was passed. you don’t know how fast you are descending or how much time you have before reaching the bottom but now you are going down and that is everything. another fun fact about playing an instrument or making art, it doesn’t adhere to those rules. you can keep ascending right up until your last breath.
