Currently I have a student, I believe from China, and their whole name is very very close to the title of a Mary Margaret O’Hara song from her masterpiece Miss America. I want to tell them but it might insult them because it’s funny and some people are very touchy about jokes. I probably will play it safe. I have another student who has a first name I never heard before “Lyka” which is pronounced “like a” and I think of the Madonna song but dare not say it out loud. Probably would seem lewd and not funny which of course is hilarious but only between you and me.
