play and shape

The shadows in Plato’s cave were taken to be real by the prisoners who did not know the origin of what was casting them. Our lives are like that, appearing to be real but considering they contain expiry dates, one could argue they aren’t real at all, just shadows. There is a trick I like on piano, one plays a repetition of two notes, for instance E and D, simultaneously an octave lower play the opposite timing of D and E, despite it being four notes moving in two spaces another sound emerges. I can’t make sense of it I just know how to play it and shape it.
