Mixed three more songs for the new record. I keep changing the title, although one phrase refuses to leave me alone. During one of the final mixes of Airplane on the Highway, I was listening again to Julie, a young singer I met at an open stage who improvised on that song. At one point, out of nowhere, she sang, “I’ve got too many wings for a car.” I keep returning to that line. So, for the moment at least, Too Many Wings for a Car looks suspiciously like the title of the record.
