Don’t know why peer pressure is so primal but it is. Tried to show the little girl piano a few times, she was half interested half not, not looking to force her but once her best friend started taking piano lessons POOF she wants to play piano. Was so at the mercy of my peer group as a kid, more important than anything.  Remember it like yesterday, hope it remains ancient history. Some say people are like pacts of dogs willing to be led, that pact mentality is a big part of us as a species. Sure are a lot of people ready to follow the next person positioned as a star regardless of whether their talent is powerful or very artificial.
