Heisenberg Uncertainty

The new tree, London Plane, over this hot summer has been parched even though often put on drip hose. Many brown leaves fell to their end, compost, just like us. I try concerning myself with the unseen parts below keeping on the drip hose. Similar to the new piece I’m creating, can’t yet pull off coordinating ideas but until then placing energy into baby steps which are foundational to the overall concept of this piece or it’s just my imagination.

Wonder if some composers especially the old uncomputerized ones, notated or conceived some works whether or not they could play their ideas in their entirety? I play a piano concert at Hugh’s Room next Tuesday unless it is canceled. Went last night but the doors were closed. Was suppose to be Marilyn Lerner and Lance Anderson. Marilyn and I played a delightful show together at the Music Gallery about 15 years ago.

I attended the piano series at Hugh’s Room 3 weeks ago and the crowd was not the type that would be too interested in the kind of presentation I’m planning. But who am I to imagine I know? What does the crowd who is into what I like to play look like? In science departments or wherever they teach the Heisenberg uncertainty principle they should stop and discuss the profound implications of it. They should give the students a month to reflect on it or maybe a lifetime. On the surface it means our tools for measuring alter the behaviour of what we are measuring. What does that really mean…need to remember my imaginary ideas about the audience are just that whether true or not.
