greenwald, serve somebody

When Snowden tried to find an honest broker among journalists he chose Glenn Greenwald. He was considering exposing puppet masters and knew it could mean jail or losing his citizenship, etc. for revealing ghastly facts about his government. He needed to pick someone that shared his view and would honour telling the truth. George Orwell was doing everyone a favour writing what looked to him to be the future. The mass surveillance thing, not my cup of tea. He clearly saw the nightmare coming and tried to warn you. Margaret Atwood same. When you look up Edward Snowden, they say maybe he’s a whistle blower, maybe a traitor, maybe a hero, maybe a coward, maybe a patriot. I lost at least two friends over the fact I like Glenn Greenwald’s journalism. He’s associated with the left and the right but I don’t think he’s seeking club membership. He just reports the tricks behind keeping things unintelligible. All my life being a fan of Bob Dylan, noticing the freak outs when he went electric or Christian, made me think twice about the wisdom of the herd’s need in their anger to name call and cancel.
