Yesterday I was cutting through U of T in my snow boots and enjoyed looking at the outside design of Convocation Hall. Thought about some shows I’ve seen there over the years, then remembered one time Jeff Burke and I were asked to improvise take-your-seat-music on bassoon and accordion while the audience wandered in and for the start of a talk by Noam Chomsky. Might have been 15 years ago. I don’t know about Jeff but for a good while afterwards I bragged about having opened for Noam Chomsky.
