I worked a little with interesting piano teacher in Riverdale who showed me a trick for piano scales. You fit your hand into two positions, one comprised of the thumb index middle and the other the thumb index middle and ring. Then each scale was a game of trying to see which sequence of the 7 notes was more advantageous to play as a 3 or a 4 and once seeing that alter the shape of your hand accordingly.

For instance when playing C major one would play C D E with the first three fingers and F G A B  with the next shape (simultaneously as a cluster) or in Bb one would play C D Eb with the first 3 fingers and F G A Bb with the four (and use whatever you find simple for the first note).

It made the playing of scales into a  game I could play with a different kind of swiftness and accuracy.
