debut

Legendary songwriter poet  Sahara Spracklin was at Fat Alberts open stage last night and her work figures largely on relationships, ones that didn’t work or are incomplete. Often offering ideas and images that could be piercing or shocking. I wonder if my little girl would catch it or question it.  Took her along to make her debut playing Mary Had A Little Lamb (with my bass blues accompaniment). She’s not shy to get on stage. Is this a good sign or a warning? Magali said the first words out of her mouth this morning were “I performed last night!” While Sahara was reciting a poem she whispered in my ear I know what she’s meaning. What I asked. I told a boy I liked him and he didn’t like me back too.
