A kid was signed up to take piano lessons but she wasn’t into it. The teacher tried to show her what was cool about the piano. She remained unimpressed and the teacher felt ridiculous. He didn’t want to try to have to prove the piano was interesting if she didn’t think so, why bother? He explained to the father she isn’t into it but the father said she’s going to play on the piano no matter whether or not this teacher felt up to the task because the girl’s mother (recently deceased) played piano and her grandmother played piano. It was clear that the father’s perspective was emotional and inflexible so the next week the teacher brought a game of snakes and ladders to the lesson and they rolled the dice on top of the piano keys each time, everybody happy.
