“it’s a song about an altered state of consciousness” she said and then started singing. i couldn’t understand the lyrics because english isn’t her first language and the pronunciation is hard to understand. then realized she forgot the slide of the lyrics. she projected them on the screen and played the song all over again. now i get it, it’s about arriving somewhere nobody has been before and trying to keep the door ajar… but i think everyone in the class thought prior to seeing the lyrics overhead, that hearing it without understanding it was maybe her goal when she said it was about an altered state of consciousness.
