Dan, leader of the band and Monica, the band’s manager, became lovers. The other members Clive and Thyme questioned the future and their positions. Would Dan’s allegiance be to the band or his lover? Didn’t take long to know. Dan told Clive he was replacing him on bass with Timmy, Monica’s nephew. Clive hoped there might be solidarity with Thyme, maybe Thyme would threaten to quit over this but no such luck. I watched Woody Allen’s Cafe Society which is six or seven years old. I love the ending, as real as Clive and Thyme, as real as Sweet Low Down.
