I didn’t realize there would be trouble when yesterday I played the soundtrack to American Graffiti, but there is. I can’t stop wondering why Chantily Lace had a pretty face and a pony tail hanging down nor what she said to the Big Bopper because he only conveys one side of the conversation. The dorky use of the saxophone on the 1 & 2 also has me stuck wondering why.

I assumed she was wearing the lace. Do I need to listen more closely to the actual lyrics? Probably. -K.

I thought he was referring to her name as being Chantilly Lace. A mystery that went down with the three of them who died in that airplane crash.
