Recently a songwriter in class introduced something as being about a book, they explained the story of the book and then they played the song but as far as I could tell their lyrics didn’t relate anything they just explained. Afterward students complemented the singer about his performance and I asked what the lyrics had to do with the book he referenced. Not much he said.
