Started to read a famous book by a famous academic and disliked it. Reads like propaganda. Disagreed with the main assumption she often restates. Thought about saying so but she’s so big and loved, it’ll just bring out zombies chasing me with chainsaws. Does anyone need zombies with chainsaws chasing them? Often in cars I notice how amazing it is that even though we’re moving at incomprehensible speeds, within the interior of the vehicle we seem to be moving at the speed we always do which is exactly what happens to us with time. Everyone amazed how they were teenagers yesterday and now old with arthritis or mortgages. There is no seeing time even though we live in it like fish not having ever heard of water. I’m marking papers for an English class, I’m a TA. I mark how well they write or not. They pick different subjects that resonate with them, it’s a wide world of Harlequin Romance or Jordan Peterson or Harry Potter or Bell Hooks. It’s like the open stage and I love an open stage even the boring and annoying, it’s more musical than the same thing played over and over.
