Student wrote this song and performed it in class: “I hate myself, I really do. Disappointed and worse than you. I am an impotent witness to all my failings. The truth is I am wailing. The life of a prisoner, self loathing every action. I don’t hate myself, I hate factions. When I get it together, no lasting affect. I always believe I can and then I always regret.” The students in the class are from many backgrounds, some study business, some library science some journalism and some film and television. After she concluded I asked if there were any questions. One student, who happens to be in journalism asked, what’s it about? I bet she’ll be the head of the department one day.
