I like both Noam Chomsky and Thomas Sowell. They are my favourite Left wing and Right wing thinkers/ talkers. I see the perspectives of both and wonder if the course I teach this winter on media and censorship allows opportunities to show their different angles of political thinking and understanding. Can the kids handle Frank vs. Bing? Beatles vs. Stones? Betty Davis vs. Joan Crawford? George Martin vs. Phil Spector? I bet as long as they are far away they can. Like Robespierre vs. Danton, no big deal. Whereas it means war if anyone dares compare Ed Sheeran vs. The Weeknd.
