I was listening to Spotify and for some reason put on old Rolling Stones records. Soon realized I do not recall listening to them in a serious way in forever. Happy and Before They Make Me Run, both by Keith Richards, stood out for me. The oddest thing was when I played back Some Girls and realized for the first time they cover Just My Imagination by the Temptations. I know that song and yet for years never noticed it was being covered when Some Girls was endlessly played on radio stations once upon some decades ago. Having recently read that biography about Ahmet Ertegun it was hard to not think of all the excess described about him courting them in the 60s and 70s. Whew.
