There was an assignment about the movie on Colonel Tom Parker and Elvis Presley, writing about what people thought about managers and artists, who needs who, how real is it, how unreal. One person’s writing was very good, very pro and then they used a word I never heard before. A very unusual sounding word. I have no idea what it means and it was also part of an odd sentence structure. Whatever, I moved on and gave them top marks. Later, after marking other papers I came upon the same odd word n someone else’s writing. In fact it was the same type of sentence and I went back to the first one. It became apparent both had exactly the same submission. I do not know if it was Chat GPT or Grammarly or something else but it was hilarious. Afterward I thought we should talk about payloa and how cheating is part of life (so is sometimes getting caught).
