Taking the train often for the London Ontario job. Sometimes I take rides as well from an app that lists drivers and though they are half the money they require 100 times the conversation and the one guy usually available on a Tuesday afternoon, wants to talk throughout the trip. Always like being dropped into the opening scene of Jackie Brown where Samuel Jackson and Robert de Niro are watching videos of “chicks who love guns” and Fonda’s toes are too close to Robert de Niro’s drink and she is uninterested in answering Samuel Jackson’s telephone like his secretary. An awesome scene I would rather watch on screen than participate in. I know musicians like this, some who blow me away musically but not necessarily personality-wise. I would rather admire from the audience but not be trapped traveling together many hours just to play on stage for 30 minutes.
