Coleman Hughes

Very interesting watching Coleman Hughes on The View replying to Sunny Hostin implying Coleman is captured by the right wing. She seemed to think it wise to insult or dismiss his book which focuses more on class than race to address policies towards alleviating poverty. I interviewed him two years ago for the Improv Journal because he’s also a trombonist. He was the first of the five contributions I made to the journal. It was the only one I regret because I didn’t prepare questions in advance. I thought I should improvise right? It did make sense but I didn’t think much in the moment. We mostly spoke about improvisation, comedy and the amazing video he had just made for his rap song Blasphemy. I did more research before the record button came on for my next interviews.
